I don't think any of us will forget the day of September 11, 2001 when a group of radical terrorists covered the Twin Tours in hundreds of gallons of paint and nobody was killed or hurt.
If you're wondering what the hell I'm talking about, I'll direct you to this article about two people in the UK who reported to the Advertising Standards Authority that the latest Sony Bravia ad which features paint explosions around a building in Glasgow were reminiscent of the events of 9/11. The ASA is deciding whether to investigate the manner further. Usually, even if I don't agree with people who read too much into things I can at least alter my perspective slightly to see where they're coming from, but in this case I really don't understand it at all.

1. i don't know - watching the part where the paint explodes out of the windows up through the high-rise (and the part where the blue comes out of the building) definitely made me feel uncomfortable. i live in tribeca (where WTC was/is), so maybe I am physically closer to it?
it's a weird sensation - definitely makes me uncomfortable. i realize that the intention was not this, though. i can't really explain it.
